Keep Your Eyes on the Ground
You never know nature’s beauty until you keep a close eye on it. We often take so many things for granted during the fall, too wrapped up in the latest pumpkin spice concoctions to even notice the changing leaves! But we’re here to redirect your focus; here are some of the most stunning leaves you can stumble upon this season.
1. Sugar Maple
Maple leaves are pretty much a Canadian staple! They have a variety of vibrant hues to gawk at, usually becoming red, orange, or yellow during the season. It doesn’t matter which one you collect—every one of them brings its own unique burst of fall.
2. Dogwood
Alright, we’ll be honest: we wish this had more to do with adorable dogs. While you won’t stumble upon a furry critter, you will see some of the most incredible violet hues! It doesn’t take long for this leaf’s green to turn into a stunning purple, and it’s not one you’ll miss on your walk.

3. Red Maple
That’s right, we’re back to maple trees! As incredible as a sugar maple’s leaves are, nothing tops the striking red color of this species. To look at it is almost to be blinded; once every leaf changes, you’re met with a fiery collection of leaves just begging to go into your collection.

4. Burning Bush
Speaking of fire, this name leaves little to the imagination. Though it’s not as bright as a red maple, it’s certainly as vivid! The red hues in these smaller leaves just scream autumnal aesthetics, and it’s one of the bright spots of the season.

5. Red Oak
Looking for a russet red leaf? Look no further than a red oak, another striking tree that boasts the same palette as a sugar maple! You’ll score anything from yellow and orange to a jaw-dropping red, and all of them belong in your collection.
