5 Warning Signs Mother Nature Is About To Strike

Are You Ready for Mother Nature’s Wrath?

We’re all interested in Mother Nature and her powers. We had all the books when we were kids. We watched a bunch of YouTube videos. We followed stormchasers (from a safe distance)! The thing is, despite our interest, many of us don’t know the warning signs of imminent danger. We’re here to break down a few classic signs that you should move to a safe area.

1. Scared Animals

Animals may not be able to speak, but they communicate in other ways. They know when something’s wrong, and they aren’t shy about pacing around, whining, or even fleeing certain areas. There’s a reason you see flocks of birds cawing right before danger strikes!

2. Green Clouds

Tornadoes may look cool, but you wouldn’t want to see one up close. Luckily, Mother Nature gives plenty of warning signs before those massive funnels eat the sky. If you ever see green clouds, a tornado is likely on the way, so move indoors and get to a basement.

3. Hair Standing Up

Do you remember your hair standing up at the science center? We all giggled as kids, but believe it or not, that’s actually a huge warning sign in nature! If your hair stands up outdoors, it means lightning is about to strike nearby.

4. Loud Ocean Roars

Tsunamis can cause irreparable damage, and it’s important to know the warning signs. One of the biggest indicators is loud ocean roars. People have compared it to a jet engine or even a train, so keep an ear out.

5. Cracked Foundation

Sinkholes aren’t as likely as devastating thunderstorms, but they do happen. A good way to spot one approaching is through cracked foundation. Look for anything from new dips in the ground to dying gardens.
